    Make your own pita bread at home!

    Here's how:

      Crumble the yeast into a bowl, pour in water at 20 °C, and stir until the yeast has dissolved. Add the oil, salt, and most of the flour. Knead into a smooth dough. Let rise for 1.5 hours.

      Preheat the oven to 275 °C and place a baking sheet inside at the same time.

      Place the dough on a floured work surface and knead it. Divide it into 20 pieces. Roll them into round buns and let them rest for 10 minutes. Then roll them out into rounds just under 1 centimeter thick. Do not prick them.

      Bake in the middle of the oven for 5–6 minutes on an ungreased hot baking sheet until they begin to brown. Let cool under a kitchen towel.

    • 25 g (1/2 packet) KronJäst for Bread, fresh
    • 600 g (6 dl) water
    • 180 g (2 dl) olive oil
    • 12 g (2 tsp) salt
    • 920–1080 g (about 17–18 dl) all-purpose flour
