This is a recipe from one of our readers and was not created or tested by KronJäst.
Here's how:
-
1
Crumble the yeast into a bowl, add the water, and stir until the yeast has dissolved.
-
2
Add salt, sunflower seeds, rolled oats, whole wheat flour, honey, oil, and most of the all-purpose flour.
-
3
Knead the dough thoroughly until it pulls away from the sides of the bowl.
-
4
Let it rise, covered, for 40 minutes.
-
5
Place the dough on a floured work surface and divide it into two parts.
-
6
Roll each piece into a round loaf and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Let rise, covered, for 30 minutes.
-
7
If desired, brush the bread with egg white and sprinkle with a few sunflower seeds.
-
8
Bake at 200 °C on the lower rack of the oven for about 30 minutes.
Tip!
- Once the bread has cooled, just slice it up and make some delicious sandwiches with it. Mmmm, so good!
