A delicious and simple recipe for a quick snack or as an addition to a buffet.
This is a recipe from one of our readers and was not created or tested by KronJäst.
Here's how:
-
1
Melt the butter and add the milk. Crumble the yeast into the bowl and add the milk mixture (20 °C), salt, and sugar. Stir until the yeast dissolves.
-
2
Add the eggs and all-purpose flour. Knead into a smooth dough. Add more flour if necessary. Let rise for 30 minutes.
-
3
Chop the ham into small pieces, then mix in the spices.
-
4
Knead the dough a little and divide it into two parts. Roll each part out into a rectangle 0.5 cm thick. Spread 1 dl of ketchup on each piece, leaving about 1 cm without ketchup along one long side so that the roll will hold together later.
-
5
Sprinkle half of the filling, the seasoned ham, and the cheese onto each rectangle. Save a little cheese for garnish.
-
6
Roll it up like a Swiss roll. Preheat the oven to 225 °C.
-
7
Cut the roll into 2–2.5 cm thick slices and place them on a baking sheet. Let them rise for 15–20 minutes.
-
8
Brush the buns with beaten egg and sprinkle a little cheese on top as a garnish.
-
9
Bake in the center of the oven for about 8–12 minutes. Serve warm.
