    Here's how:

      Crumble the yeast into a bowl. Pour in the milk (25 °C), egg, and sugar, and stir to form a batter. Then mix in the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and melted butter, and knead until you have a smooth dough.

      Mix together the filling with chopped hazelnuts, brown sugar, and almond paste.

      Let the dough rest for 10 minutes under a kitchen towel. Divide it into two parts, shape them into two round buns, and then roll them out into round, 0.5 cm thick discs. First, cut them in half, and then cut each half into 6–8 wedges. Place a small amount of filling on the widest part of each wedge. Roll them up into crescents.

      Let it rise, covered, for 40–50 minutes. Preheat the oven to 230 °C.

      Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with almond slivers. Bake for about 8 minutes, until golden brown.

    • 50 g (1 packet) KronJäst for Sweet Doughs, fresh
    • 150 g (1.5 dl) milk at 25 °C
    • 50 g (1) egg
    • 480 g (8 dl) all-purpose flour
    • 250 g (2.5 dl) butter, at room temperature 
    • 100 g (1 dl) granulated sugar
    • 5 g (1 tsp) baking powder
    • 3 g (0.5 tsp) salt
    • 5 g (1 tsp) vanilla sugar

    Filling

    • 75 g (1.25 dl) hazelnuts, chopped
    • 80 g (1 dl) brown sugar
    • 100 g Odense almond paste, grated
    • 2 g (0.5 tsp) salt

    Brushing

    • 1 egg, beaten 

    Garnish

    • Almond Flakes
