Bread made with beer has a spicy flavor. In this recipe, we also use rye flour and honey, which add even more flavor and aroma.

    Here's how:

Place all the ingredients in a stand mixer fitted with a dough hook.

    • 2

Knead the dough with a dough hook for about 10 minutes, until it becomes shiny and smooth and pulls away from the sides of the bowl. If you’re kneading by hand, it will take twice as long. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the dough rise for 30 minutes.

Place the dough on a floured work surface, shape it into a round loaf, and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cover the bread with a clean towel and let it rise until it doubles in size, about 60–90 minutes. In the meantime, preheat the oven to 225 °C using standard top and bottom heat.

Once the bread has finished rising, make a cut with a sharp knife at the top of the loaf.

Place the bread on the bottom rack of the oven and bake for about 30–40 minutes.
