You can never get enough of cinnamon rolls, can you? That’s why it can be fun to experiment with different shapes and sizes. Let the kids help you bake these little ones, or enjoy your baking time all to yourself. The smell? Yum!
Here's how:
-
1
Crumble the yeast into a bowl. Melt the butter, add the milk, and heat to 25 °C. Pour the mixture over the yeast and stir until combined.
-
2
Add the rest of the ingredients and knead the dough until it becomes soft and smooth.
-
3
Then let it rise in a covered bowl for about 30 minutes. Meanwhile, mix together the filling ingredients: butter, sugar, and cinnamon.
-
4
Roll out the dough to a thickness of about 3 mm and a width of about 2 dm, spread the filling across the width, and roll up the dough. Cut into slices about 1 ½ cm thick, and place them in a paper mold with the cut side facing up.
-
5
Let it rise for another 30–40 minutes.
-
6
Brush with egg and sprinkle with pearl sugar.
-
7
Bake at 220 °C for about 8 minutes, until they turn golden brown.
