    Here's how:

      Crumble one packet of yeast into the mixing bowl. Dissolve the yeast in 20 °C water and oil.

      Add the syrup, salt, rye flour, and wheat flour. You can leave out the rye flour, but I think the bread tastes better with a little coarse flour.

      Knead the dough thoroughly—preferably with a stand mixer—until it pulls away from the sides of the bowl. Let the dough rise for about 40 minutes.

      Then roll out thin cookies, prick them thoroughly with a fork, and bake for about a minute on each side on a griddle or in a skillet.

      Let the cookies cool under a kitchen towel, and enjoy!

    Tip!

    • They freeze very well, but should be placed in the freezer as soon as they have cooled down

    • 50 g (1 packet) KronJäst for Bread, fresh
    • 700 g (7 dl) water
    • 90 g (1 dl) cooking oil
    • 140 g (1 dl) light syrup
    • 6 g (1 tsp) salt
    • 720 g (about 12 dl) all-purpose flour
    • approx. 60 g (about 1 dl) coarse rye flour
