This is a recipe from one of our readers and was not created or tested by KronJäst.
Here's how:
-
1
Crumble one packet of yeast into the mixing bowl. Dissolve the yeast in 20 °C water and oil.
-
2
Add the syrup, salt, rye flour, and wheat flour. You can leave out the rye flour, but I think the bread tastes better with a little coarse flour.
-
3
Knead the dough thoroughly—preferably with a stand mixer—until it pulls away from the sides of the bowl. Let the dough rise for about 40 minutes.
-
4
Then roll out thin cookies, prick them thoroughly with a fork, and bake for about a minute on each side on a griddle or in a skillet.
-
5
Let the cookies cool under a kitchen towel, and enjoy!
Tip!
- They freeze very well, but should be placed in the freezer as soon as they have cooled down
