A delicious sunflower seed bread with filmjölk and marmalade.
This is a recipe from one of our readers and was not created or tested by KronJäst.
Here's how:
-
1
Mix the buttermilk (20 °C) and oil. Crumble the yeast into a mixing bowl and add salt and marmalade. Add the buttermilk mixture and stir until the yeast has dissolved.
-
2
Add the sunflower seeds and almost all of the flour, and knead into a smooth, shiny dough. Let it rise under a kitchen towel for 30 minutes until it doubles in size.
-
3
Remove the dough and knead it on a floured work surface. Divide the dough into four equal parts and shape them into oblong loaves.
-
4
Preheat the oven to 225 °C. Place the loaves on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let them rise for another 30–40 minutes.
-
5
Whisk the egg yolks and oil together with a fork. Brush the bread with the mixture and sprinkle with sunflower seeds.
-
6
Bake the bread just below the middle of the oven for 30 minutes.
