A deliciously crisp, fresh, and filling tuna salad with apple and celery. Feel free to make double-decker sandwiches for your picnic basket, and if you happen to have any salad left over, it tastes absolutely delicious in a hot baked potato.

Crispy Tuna Salad with Apple and Celery

Peel and finely chop the red onion. Rinse and core the apple, leaving the skin on if you like. Cut it into small cubes. Slice the celery into thin slices. Drain the cucumber and chop it finely. Drain the tuna and lightly mash it with a fork. Finely chop the dill. Mix the mayonnaise and the remaining ingredients with the tuna.

      Sandwich

Rinse the lettuce. Let it dry so it doesn't make the bread soggy. Slice the bread and spread butter on it. Top each slice of bread with a whole lettuce leaf and spoon the tuna salad onto the slices. Garnish with radishes. Serve!

    Tip!

Feel free to slice the bread a little thinner and make a double-decker sandwich for your picnic. Be sure to put lettuce on both slices of bread. You can store the sandwiches in the fridge overnight if you wrap them in sandwich paper or foil.
