Incredibly delicious buns with a delightful apple filling in the middle.
Here's how:
-
1
Melt the butter, add the milk, and let it cool slightly. Dissolve the yeast in the milk, which should be about 25 °C. Combine the remaining ingredients to form the dough. Knead the dough until it is smooth and elastic—about 10 minutes in a mixer, or twice as long by hand. Let it rise for about 30 minutes.
-
2
Filling
Peel, core, and thinly slice the apples. Mix the sugar and cinnamon, then add the apple slices to the sugar mixture.
-
3
Roll out the dough until it is about 1.5 cm thick, then cut out round shapes using, for example, a glass.
-
4
Place a few apple slices and a pat of butter on half of the rounds. Place the empty rounds on top and pinch the edges together.
-
5
Place the buns on a greased baking sheet and let them rise for about 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 250 °C.
-
6
Bake for 8–10 minutes.
-
7
Brush the burgers with butter and roll them in sugar. Serve!
